Assistant Claims Manager (Commercial Lines)

Job Summary

Large and complex claims handling and managerial support

Job Accountabilities

• Responsible for the large and complex liability and property claims
• Actively involve in organizing of customer meeting presentation and the preparation of Powerpoint slides
• Provide technical support to the team including work simplification and automation initiatives
• Provide data analytics for Commercial portfolios  
• Assist the Claims Manager in managerial tasks and other ad hoc tasks
• Adhere to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the claim to ensure that we make decisions using the right standards
• Compliance with customer protocols/service charter

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above
• 5 years or above experience in Liability and Property claims, preferably with large and complex claims management skill
• Achieved recognized industry standard (e.g. Snr Asso. of ANZIIF)
• Experience in Liability and Property claims handling
• Experience in Liability and Property claims with good customer service skill is a must
• Good command of written & spoken English
• Data analytical skill is preferred
• Technical knowledge of products and services
• Technical claims handling knowledge of Liability and Property Insurance products
• Understand local legislation and legal liability
• Extensive experience with all major aspects of the claims adjustment process
• Understand industry standards and protocol
• Knowledge of claims agreements
• Interpretation of policy cover and knowledge on application of the litigation process
• Candidates with less experience can be considered for other positions
