Contract Senior Compliance Officer

Job Accountabilities

  • Support the development of insightful internal compliance reports, management information, dashboards and second-line knowledge sharing
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and propose pragmatic solutions to meet regulatory requirements
  • Participate in compliance innovation activities, including exposure to data analytics tools
  • Contribute to ongoing and coming compliance-related projects, e.g. support the AML tool transformation project, including coordination, testing and training activities, action tracking and stakeholder engagement, where required
  • Support validation of the local Compliance Framework to assess alignment with relevant policies, local requirements, internally defined minimum standards, and best practices in the following areas:
    • Customer-Facing Conduct (CFC): including proposition management (PRO), intermediary management, and sales process (SAD), with a focus on customers' sustainability preferences (ESG)
    • Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABC): ensuring robust controls and practices are in place
    • Conflicts of Interest and External Engagement (COI/EE): evaluating governance and transparency mechanisms
  • Support regulatory reviews, compliance monitoring activities and information requests through information gathering, documentation and follow-up of remediation actions
  • Assist in monitoring regulatory developments, conducting gap assessments and preparing compliance updates, reports and related materials
  • Maintain compliance trackers, governance records, action logs and support the timely closure of compliance-related findings and action plans

 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 2 years of compliance experience, preferably in insurance or financial services industry
  • Familiarity with industry common practices is preferable
  • Experience in creating dashboards using data analytics tools is an advantage
  • Detailed-oriented and good project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • We will initially offer employment with 12-month contract; contract renewal or employment conversion will be subject to employee's performance and business need
