Intern (Data Engineer)

As a Data Engineering intern, you will support a variety of data and analytics projects. This internship offers valuable exposure to the insurance sector, with opportunities to gain insights into both General Insurance (GI) and Life Insurance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Data Engineering team in deploying data models to production within the Azure Data Lake environment.
• Identify and integrate new data sources, building robust data pipelines as needed.
• Assist in building data transformation processes and creating interactive dashboards for business users.
• Respond to ad-hoc data requests from business users and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Explore and evaluate AI tools / solutions to assess their potential for various business use cases.

Job Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Practical experience with coding in Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or QlikView etc.
• Exposure to modern data technologies like Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Lakes, or Apache Spark is a plus, but not essential.
• Ability to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Genuine interest in building a career in the Data field.
