Pricing Analyst (General Insurance)


Job Summary

As a Pricing Analyst, you will join the Underwriting function, with a focus on producing regular dashboards and analytics, assisting in pricing new and updated products, communicating and investigating trends, and improving our pricing framework – all of which are fundamentally important to our business. You will be providing insight to key stakeholders, using your analytical and mathematical skills.


Job Accoutabilities

  • Update regular analytics dashboards and communicate key observations
  • Support pricing and development of new products, and review existing products
  • Develop our pricing framework, including mathematical models (i.e. GLM’s), and codes (R/SAS/Python/SQL)
  • Work with the underwriters – direct and continual communication to ensure the best pricing outcome
  • Work with other key stakeholders across Claims, Finance and Ops, to understand their needs and how to factor them into the pricing and analytics
  • Support to develop core knowledge of insurance products, KPI’s and monitoring of product performance
  • Oversee and review work from other members of the pricing team


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science or a related subject
  • Ideally 2 years of experience in an actuarial role within insurance
  • Strong analytical and problems solving skills is essential
  • Knowledge of some or all of SAS, SQL, R, Power BI, Python, or equivalents
  • Strong English language communication skills, and ideally Cantonese or Mandarin skills
  • Curious and enthusiastic attitude, and good team-working skills
