Head of Finance – India Global Capability Center (GCC)

Join us as we build Zurich’s new Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. As the Head of Finance, you will establish the Finance function from the ground up, design the governance model for a high‑growth center, and shape how our global Finance community partners with India‑based teams.

This role blends strategy and execution: you will build core processes, partner closely with global leaders, and support the center as it grows across technology, analytics, operations, and other future capabilities.

Your role

As Head of Finance, your main responsibilities will include:

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead the full Finance function, acting as senior business partner to GCC and global teams.
• Develop long‑term financial models and governance to support rapid scale‑up.

FP&A

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and financial planning cycles.
• Deliver insights, leadership reports, and executive‑ready materials.

Financial Operations

• Oversee AP/AR, payroll, treasury, and monthly/annual close.
• Maintain strong controls and ensure quick resolution of operational issues.

Intracompany Charges

• Manage cost allocations, transfer pricing, and intercompany settlements.
• Collaborate with Group finance on funding flows, audits, and accounting alignment.

Compliance & Audit

• Ensure adherence to statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead accurate filings and coordinate with auditors and authorities.

Cost Management

• Monitor cost drivers and lead efficiency and optimization initiatives.
• Support financial evaluations of projects, transitions, and vendors.

Risk Management

• Identify and mitigate financial and cross‑border transaction risks.
• Implement Group risk policies and uphold strong control environments.

Team Leadership

• Build, develop, and scale a high‑performing Finance team.
• Oversee hiring, succession planning, and capability development.

Transformation

• Lead finance transformation, automation, and process improvements.
• Deliver high‑quality standardized and ad‑hoc financial reporting.

Your Skills and Experience

As Head of Finance, your skills and experience will ideally include: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CA / CPA preferred.
• 15+ years of finance leadership experience in a multinational, GCC, shared services, or global technology center environment.
• Depth across FP&A, controllership, financial operations, and statutory compliance.
• Strong experience with intracompany charging, transfer pricing, Group reporting, and cross‑border finance flows.
• Solid knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and modern finance technology solutions.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration with Group, BU, and regional finance teams.
• Strong strategic, analytical, and financial modelling skills.
• Ability to operate in a global matrix environment and influence senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to build and scale teams in fast‑changing environments.
• High integrity, resilience, and a continuous improvement mindset.
