The Case Underwriter III independently underwrites case underwritten business of medium complexity.

Job Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in insurance, healthcare, or a related field.

  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  4. Attention to detail and commitment to integrity.

  5. Familiarity with health insurance products and medical terminology is an advantage.

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

  1. Analyze medical information, health history, and lifestyle factors to evaluate insurance applications.

  2. Determine appropriate coverage, premiums, and terms based on underwriting guidelines.

  3. Work closely with brokers, agents, and medical professionals to gather information and clarify details.

  4. Explain underwriting decisions and processes clearly to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and trust.

  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, medical advances, and Zurich’s guidelines to improve risk assessment quality.

  6. Accurately document decisions and maintain confidential records in line with regulatory standards.
