Job purpose:

 

The Assessments and Surcharges team prepares payments and filings to various State agencies in USA based on written premium and incurred losses. The role gives opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects and that is why we are looking for a proactive, flexible person with a “can do” approach.

As a dedicated Senior Specialist in the role, you will stand as a support for Team Manager and advisor to your colleagues and to the client.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide support and backup to the Team Manager in the Assessments and Surcharges area.
  • Actively contribute to and collaborate on continuous improvement projects.
  • Understand the ICFR FS (Financial Services) framework, execute controls, and advise less experienced team members.
  • Maintain regular contact with various stakeholders and US state representatives, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prepare a variety of premium and loss-based payments, monitor their status during closing, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Perform reconciliations of G/L accounts.
  • Conduct asset valuations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.
  • Carry out other A&S month-end close activities.

 

Additional requirements:

 

  • This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer and will require occasionally adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule (9.00-17.00, 11.00-19.00, 14.30-22.30).

 

Candidate’s profile:

 

  • Finance and Accounting, Economy or equivalent academic degree.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting industry.
  • Solid basics of general accounting and knowledge of Accounts Payable process.
  • English skills – spoken and written at fluent level (C1).
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and financial system (SAP as preferred).
  • Analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Problem solving skills and independent.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
