Finance Accounting and Reporting Senior Specialist (ZNA FAR TEAM)

Job purpose:

In this role, you will perform key Financial Accounting and Reporting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS, regulatory, and statutory requirements. You will prepare financial statements and support other general ledger closing activities. This position offers the opportunity to participate in local, regional, and global projects. We are seeking a proactive, flexible individual with a “can do” attitude. As a dedicated Senior Specialist, you will serve as a support to your manager and advisor to your colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and take ownership of assigned balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Calculate and perform general ledger bookings (such as accruals, provisions, and pre-payments).
• Provide Group and external reporting (balance sheet, P&L, supplementary financial statement information) in accordance with IFRS and, where required, other GAAP standards (e.g., US GAAP, Swiss GAAP).
• Carry out intercompany reconciliations and postings.
• Manage various closing activities, including maintaining interfaces to subledgers, posting statutory adjusting entries, performing statutory analysis, and filing.
• Support and collaborate on projects, such as analyzing and implementing Group Chart of Accounts changes.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including FAR Controllers, Actuaries, and Local Accountants.
• Understand the ICFR Financial Statement framework, execute controls, and advise less experienced team members.
• Provide support to the Team Manager.
• Actively participate in and collaborate on process improvement projects.

Additional requirements:

• This position will be dedicated for the US (American) customer and will require occasionally adapting to work according to the US hours as per the team’s shift schedule (9.00-17.00, 11.00-19.00, 14.30-22.30).

Candidate’s profile:

• Finance and Accounting, Economy or equivalent academic degree.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting industry.
• Solid basics of general accounting and knowledge of general ledger closing processes.
• English skills – spoken and written at fluent level (C1).
• Very good knowledge of MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables etc.) and financial system (SAP as preferred).
• Analytical skills and attention to details.
• Problem solving skills and independent.
• Ability to multitask.
• Excellent customer service skills.
