Finance Accounting and Reporting Senior Specialist

Job purpose:

 

To perform financial reporting activities relevant for Group reporting in order to support and reinforce key business objectives. The role gives opportunity to participate in local, regional and global projects and that is why we are seeking a proactive, flexible individual with a “can do” approach. As a dedicated Senior Specialist, you will serve as a support to your manager and advisor to your colleagues and clients. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Assist the team in the preparation of the quarterly Consolidated Financial Statements under IFRS and other GAAP’s
  • Assist in the preparation of audit and Internal Control over Financial Reporting backup and supporting documents
  • Analyse and review the consolidated data and the different consolidation processes (IFRS, actual, simulation versions etc.)
  • Support the team in improving and automating the consolidation processes
  • Handling of ad hoc requests

 

 

Candidate’s profile:

 

  • University degree - finance and accounting (an asset)  
  • Proficient English language speaker is a must  
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience (General Ledger)  
  • Practical accounting experience in GL, reporting, data analysis area  
  • Analytical skills, passion for detail, reliability, “can do” approach, goals driven, flexibility  
  • Problem solving skills and independent
  • SAP knowledge is a plus  
  • Excel knowledge – advanced   
  • Power Query and Power BI knowledge is a plus

In March 2016 we established a Shared Service Centre in Kraków, in Poland to support our global strategy. It is from this location that we have created a global shared service platform, focusing on advanced business functions such as financial accounting and reporting, planning and performance management, ICFR testing, financial systems management as well as HR integrated talent management operations.

 

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
