Job purpose:
This is not an active job opening. We are collecting applications from students and graduates who are interested in junior roles in finance at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd Branch in Poland in the future. We are building a talent pool for future junior finance positions that may combine responsibilities from both Junior Accountant and Planning & Performance Management Junior Analyst roles. These opportunities will suit candidates eager to start a career in financial accounting, reporting, analysis and SAP‑based processes.
Responsibilities:
As part of our future Junior Finance talent pool, you may be considered for roles involving accounting and/or analytical responsibilities, such as:
- Supporting monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings, including bookings to general ledger, sub-ledgers and cost centers.
- Performing balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and preparing standard financial reports.
- Providing regular expense reporting and supporting actuals vs. forecast analysis.
- Feeding financial figures into management information systems and helping maintain master data in SAP (cost centers, accounts, statistical key figures).
- Responding to business and cost‑center manager queries.
- Supporting preparation of Financial Statements, intercompany reconciliations, and control evidence.
- Assisting internal initiatives within Financial Accounting or Planning & Performance Management teams.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for students and graduates who:
- Preferably have an academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
- Speak English fluently, both spoken and written.
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP or BI tools is a plus.
- Demonstrate analytical thinking, attention to detail, good communication skills, and a strong interest in finance.
- Show willingness to develop, learn, and grow within an international environment.
- Previous internship or international experience is an advantage.
