FCRS provide Financial Crime detection system services to over 30 Zurich Business Units globally to help detect, prevent, and disrupt Financial Crime and is currently delivering a transformation programme to centralize Zurich Groups Financial Crime controls.       

    

Key accountabilities:

 

Manages employees, directing selection, technical training, and career development of their teams. They administrate and direct operations to provide prompt, accurate and dependable service to customers. They identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in internal and external environments by developing and implementing short-term and long-term operational goals. They drive the implementation of operational and change projects for a function or business area to deliver defined objectives with allocated resources and in timescales typically of less than one year. They push support to cross-functional projects (e.g., with local Information Technology and project delivery teams) to ensure technology infrastructure is in line with operating model and business plans. They monitor and review the performance and behavior of team members and take action to ensure compliance with the company´s risk and compliance policy and codes of conduct.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Day to day management of a team of highly skilled, high performing team members including training, development, performance management and recruitment
  • Relationship/Stakeholder Management is key as this role will have responsibility for maintaining and developing effective relationships with both internal and external parties who are either key participants within the scope of the services being provided, or recipients of the services being provided
  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Provides insights into risks and how to effectively mitigate and manage them
  • Risk Appetite: Understands the risk appetite and tolerance for areas of responsibility
  • Assurance: Leads assurance activities, validates findings and observations with relevant stakeholders and documents results
  • Negotiation, working with internal and external Stakeholders to identify appropriate solutions to problems, issues and escalations
  • Problem Solving with an agile ability to identify, analyse and construct solutions to complex problems arising from external changes e.g. regulatory as well as changing stakeholder needs and service changes
  • Root-Cause Analysis, analysing issues post-resolution and recommending actions to senior management both inside the function and across the wider business to prevent recurrence and improve delivery standards
  • Delivery Standards Development, ensuring that all KPI’s and SLA’s are met or exceeded and supporting the further evolution of the standards of service being offered by the service
  • Decision-Making, this role will need to operate with a high-level of autonomy and using personal judgement for taking commercial or operational decisions on the resolution of issues within appropriate authority levels

 

Requirements:

 

  • A proven track record in Operational Management, Risk Management and Service Delivery
  • An energy to positively manage and help develop a highly motivated team of SME’s
  • Extremely organised, able to multitask, delegate, get the very best out of people, effective prioritisation skills with a clear view and understanding of the bigger picture
  • Proactive identification of issues, proven problem-solving skills with effective resolution outcomes
  • Solution orientated and strategic thinking to successfully deliver the desired outcome
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and build strong relationships with diverse global stakeholders/senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a complex and challenging environment (i.e. large organizations)
  • Ability to deliver effective management information and reporting
  • Experience in Financial Crime Detection Systems, and an understanding of Sanctions and Anti Money Laundering
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential

This role is related to the key area of Zurich’s activity in Kraków.
