Job purpose: 

Shape the future of risk mitigation for mid-sized and industrial/large corporate clients. If you’re passionate about analysing complex risks and delivering innovative solutions, this opportunity is for you! 

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct detailed on-site and/or virtual assessments of industrial and commercial operations to identify potential hazards and recommend tailored risk improvement measures 

• Prepare comprehensive risk reports for underwriters, clearly articulating risk factors and mitigation recommendations 

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Risk Engineering on developing and refining risk engineering methods, tools, and best practices 

• Partner with Underwriting, Claims, and other stakeholders to align risk management efforts with broader business goals 

• Leverage technology and data analytics to enhance accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in risk evaluations 

• Stay up to date on market trends, industry regulations, and emerging risks, sharing insights to inform strategic decision-making 

Candidate’s profile: 

• 3+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or a related field, ideally within the industrial or commercial insurance sector 

• Strong technical knowledge of industrial processes, equipment, and safety regulations 

• University degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; equivalent professional experience and industry qualifications also considered 

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail 

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings in a clear, actionable manner 

• Collaborative mindset with a customer-focused approach to achieving risk management objectives 

•  Flexibility to travel frequently to client sites for on-site assessments (including abroad)
