Application Specialist

Location: Zurich HQ, Kuala Lumpur

SUMMARY:

Providing support services to customers related to a set of applications covering a range of responsibilities focusing on delivery of project and BAU issues. Role will grow through project driven work as well as market and product expertise that needs to be built up to meet the number and variety of customer portfolios.

KEY TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Have a deep understanding of business requirements, and how to best build the web application.
• Contribute to the projects by ensuring that the requirements are properly addressed in projects and project delivery is implemented correctly in own area in conjunction with business unit and IT team.
• Provide technical expertise on aspects of the organization's software applications to internal customers.
• Provide advise with appropriate actions to fulfill procedural and regulatory requirements immediately to solve the problems.
• Strong knowledge of .NET Framework 4.7 ++, HTML5, CSS (boostrap), C# language, and MVC5
• Unit testing (JEST), integration testing and deployments in various environments
• Troubleshooting & defect analysis
• Interface with other teams for technical details to integrate the web with back-end services.
• Build & unit test reusable UI components.
• Documentation of code
• Complete the work within agreed period, communicates progress status and issues promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology and 3 or more years of experience in related field

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• .NET Framework 4.7 ++, HTML5, CSS (boostrap), C# language, and MVC5 are required.
• Experience with jQuery, Crystal report and Javascript
• Familiar with API, WCF, WEB API, .Net Core.
• Added advantage if know Universe basic technical skills or related programming skill – be able to enquire, edit and familiar with TCL commands.
• Able to read and write SQL Query and Stored Procedure.
• Must have basic IT architecture knowledge and be familiar with SDLC cycle.
• Good to know IIS setup, configuration management, setting applications on latest available frameworks.
• Good to have Insurance background knowledge.
• Added advantage for Python technical skill.
