Business Analyst

Job Summary

1. Manage requirements for assigned projects from high level customer journey to detailed business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Supporting operational excellence initiatives including identification and implementation of opportunities, monthly analysis / reporting for operational metrics performance.

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

1. Plans, conducts / facilitates sessions for business requirements gathering and ensures the deliverables are met on timely basis.
2. Prepare, present and update stakeholders on as-is and to-be models, including the process, data, workflow, and application, as part of the requirements gathering process considering customer’s journey and experience.
3. Identify technical development areas and ideate to-be model solutions with technical teams.
4. Collaborate with project manager to build Business Case, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope and development of a high-level plan.
5. Analyzes and manages requirement risk, traceability matrix and prioritizes requirements.
6. Performs quality review checks on project deliverables from stakeholders.
7. Develop test plans, perform testing, and conduct training activities.
8. Manage post implementation activities including problem solving and benefits tracking with stakeholder engagements for root cause analysis and improvements.
9. Ideate / implement process improvement initiatives, including automation and simplification projects.
10. Establish datasets for periodic operational metrics reporting, leveraging on tools such as PowerBI.
11. Perform analysis on operational reporting and engage with stakeholders for improvement opportunities and commentaries on trends.
12. Adapts and applies different delivery methodologies including SCRUM, Waterfall and Zurich Lean determining the best methodology for the specific project.

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration / business analytics / computer science / data analytics.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst / Analysis / Analytics role.
3. Preferred:
a. Background in Insurance with in-depth understanding of insurance products and processes
b. Experience with PowerBI, Power Query, PowerApps
c. Experience with Ms Visio, SQL
d. Experience with Lean / Automation / RPA
e. Experience with Prototyping
