HR Services Manager
Purpose
Provides guidance and direction regarding the preparation and distribution of the organization´s salaried and hourly payrolls. Maintains selected general ledger accounts related to payroll results, processing complex transactions and analysing the outcome and report on results. May coordinate and oversee payroll function for small to mid-sized country.
Key Accountabilities
- Designs and/or ensures compliance with multiple payroll processes including calculating gross and net pay amounts (e.g., salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, tax withholdings, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.).
- Maintain payroll-specific records (changes in wage/salary rates; pension, insurance, mandatory deductions; new hires, terminations, leave of absence, etc.).
- Reconcile payroll records (e.g., payments, deductions, general ledger entries for wages).
- Verify and administer payroll data and monitor and manage payroll legislation compliance.
- Provide responses to employees' and supervisors' questions regarding payroll matters.
- Drive the resolution and coordination of any new, unique or ongoing problems with payroll data. Analyse outcomes and reports to ensure accuracy of data reflected in financial statements.
- Develop and reports metric and other indicators to measure results and achievement of desire outcomes.
- Provide advice to address specific technical queries and assist on local training and materials to ensure best practice for their centre of expertise across the organization.
- May oversee the payroll function by providing oversight and direction regarding the preparation and distribution of the organization´s payroll.
- May provides support and partners with all areas of the organization, to identify best practices that will ensure accurate timely payroll results and financial statement reporting.
