Head of Operational Excellence

Purpose

We are seeking a Head of Operational Excellence to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business analyst responsibilities, operational excellence, and team management, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads the planning and implementation operational excellence initiatives across the insurance value chain.
  • Responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring of operational metrics to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of processes.
  • Leads the planning, design, and implementation of business requirements and system modifications in projects/ initiatives.
  • Actively participates in technical reviews to ensure change requirements are accurately captured and implemented.
  • Creates / reviews complex test case scenarios to be used in testing, monitors, and review testing of applications to ensure requirements are incorporated.
  • Coordinates and manages business analyst tasks within projects/initiatives, providing guidance and support.
  • Provides time estimates for tasks related to the project, assisting in effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Plans and develops operating standards for the team to ensure consistent and quality deliverables.
  • Continually ensure team development, addressing learning needs and improving the team’s core competencies.
  • Adapts and applies different delivery methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and Lean / Six Sigma.

 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration / business analytics / computer science / data analytics or equivalent.
  • 10 or more years of experience as a business analyst, process improvement, product management role or similar capacity.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, business analysis, requirements management, and process improvement (including digitalization and automation).
  • Experience in new products and new distribution channel implementation.
  • Strong Financial Services or Insurance knowledge.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling, analysis tools, and methodologies.
  • Delivered projects using methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

 

Preferred:

  • General Insurance and Takaful experience.
  • Good understanding / working experience in computer programming concepts and data analytics.
  • Good understanding of intelligent automation technologies and capabilities.
  • Yellow / Green / Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Customer Experience / User Interface / User Experience domain capabilities.
