Job Summary
- Performs sub ledger close activities to ensure correct, complete and timely accounting data and analytics for complex clients and processes.
- Performs control activities for complex clients and processes in accordance to required timelines.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for a complex Topic.
Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities
- Generates insights and recommendations by addressing complex technical queries from clients and delivering appropriate solutions
- Resolves complex problems within the team ensuring an efficient and high-quality service
- Liaises within the department and business as well as with internal and external audit
- Implements local or Group changes related to chart of account, valuation principles and reporting requirements in close collaboration with the global expert.
- Ensures compliance of sub ledger with local and group requirements
- Performs and ultimately signs off regular operational as well as design effectiveness tests and risk assessments in the respective area, drive issue resolution, risk mitigation and incident management
Job Qualifications
Required:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or any related field is typically required.
Preferred:
- Significant experience in accounting, preferably in the financial services sector or investment industry. Experience in investment accounting, fund accounting, or financial reporting for investment portfolios is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of various investment products and instruments such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, mutual funds, and alternative investments.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
