Learning & Development Senior Manager
Purpose
The role drives and implements global, regional, or local learning solutions for technical, leadership, management, or professional development. The role leads the development strategy to ensure that we align with business strategies, focusing on upskilling and reskilling the workforce to meet evolving organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic, innovative and forward-thinking learning & development strategy aligned with Zurich’s business goals now and in the future.
- Programme Development: Design and deliver impactful training, leadership development, and upskilling programmes. This includes leading and managing external learning partners to deliver learning programme that aligns to our local requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with HR, business leaders, and external learning partners to identify learning needs and provide meaningful solutions to the businesses.
- Digital Learning: Leverage on modern technologies to create innovative and engaging digital learning experiences that excite employees and drive a continuous learning culture. Leverage on AI platforms, mobile learning, gamification, and microlearning to design dynamic, personalized, and immersive digital learning experiences.
- Product Owner: Owns, drives and promote the in-house development products such as the internal coaching tool, skills identification tool and career conversation/ plan.
- Offsites & Team Building Events: Partner with the Business to create a culture of teamwork and belonging through team-building activities and workshops to strengthen relationships, boost morale, and improve talent retention.
- Talent Development: Partner with Talent Management team to develop, drive and provide development opportunities for High Potential talent and successors, to create a robust succession pipeline.
- Culture Engagement: Champion a workplace culture where learning, collaboration and personal growth are valued and drive initiatives to promote trust, and sese of belonging across teams.
- Measurement & Improvement: Lead, measure and track effectiveness of programmeme such as ROI and continuously enhance learning initiatives to meet the future demands of the organization.
- HRDC Funds Management: Oversee the application, disbursement, claims and reporting of HRDC funds to maximize training opportunities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure all programmes meet compliance standards and reflect industry best practices.
- Diversity & Inclusion: Champion inclusive learning opportunities for all employees.
- Team Management: Lead, inspire, and grow a high-performing L&D team.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or Organizational Development, preferably in a global or insurance environment.
- Proven track record in designing and delivering successful learning strategies and programmes.
- Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
