Policy Processing Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

 

 1.  To provide support to support to profile centre / branches / underwriters in areas requiring

       skills and knowledge in the processing of all transactions, including new submissions,

       renewals, endorsements and deliver excellent customer service

  2.  Enter or retrieve policy information and input routine & non routine entires and transactions

  3.  Access various systems to input data, compile information and reports for internal customers

  4.  Perform simple calculations and standardized computations

  5.  Respond promptly and accurately to requests for information

  6.  Independently handle questions with the department

  7.  Reconcile discrepancies, perform self – check of own work and check the work of others

  8.  Process all work within department standards (DQP / SOP / SLA)

  9.  Identify and resolve problems by referring to policies, procedures, standards

10.  Work on special projects, as assigned

11. Act as “Go To” person within the department, because of knowledge and specialized skill attained

12. Continually improve unit performance by analyzing and recommending enhancements to technical   procedure.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.   To issue non-motor policies and endorsements for Corporate Client and Broking including 

      Insurance Guarantee, FWCS and SKHPPA and printing Slip Pengesahan for FWCS and

      SKHPPA

2.   To print policies/endorsements and pasting for distribution to Marketing personnel

3.   To follow up with the Line of Business (LOB) underwriters on policies/endorsements that

      Require approval (system approval)

4.   To print edit listing for executive to check (complex policies)

5.   To liase with Marketing Personnel for outstanding details and documents

6.   To upload fire certificate from excel file to GIS/iGTS system and print

7.   To assist Section Head and perform other duties as and when assigned

8.   To assist in User Acceptance Test (UAT)

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Education                    :           Diploma or equivalent

 

Experience                  :           At least 3 years in Insurance industry

 

KSA’s                          :       - Able to communicate with internal and external customer

 (Knowledge, Skills & Ability)       - Intermediate knowledge in insurance

                                              - Written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English

                                              - Able to work independently and with self-initiative

                                              - Computer literate
