Pricing Assistant Manager

Job Accountabilities - Key Accountabilities

  • Provide assistance in product pricing, development and approval through pricing model development, assumption selection, profitability testing and regulatory filing.
  • Review product specification, policy documents, marketing materials to ensure alignment with product design and pricing and provide appropriate feedback with regards to regulatory requirement.
  • Support and implement necessary setup and UAT for front-end point-of sales quotation illustrations and back-end system.
  • Prepare pricing report for internal and regional approval.
  • Support in collating information to address regional and BNM queries.
  • Support additional/ad hoc projects for regulatory requirements or internal initiatives.
  • Assist to enhance, streamline and simplify existing processes and systems within the team’s scope.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of and adherence to internal policies.
  • Provide technical support to various operations department.
  • Review work performed by junior staff and provide guidance to junior staff to complete the task delegated.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree related to Actuarial Science.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Familiar with actuarial concepts relating to product pricing and profitability.
  • Familiar with laws and regulations relevant to life insurance/takaful.
  • Familiar with various types of insurance/takaful products and structures in the market.
  • Good communication, project management and time management skills, and possess good problem solving ability.
