Recovery Executive (Claims)

Purpose

With moderate direction, evaluate legal liability and pursue, negotiate and resolve subrogation collection by communicating with insured's, witnesses, legal representatives and underwriters to exchange the necessary information to effectively value and resolve cases within authority.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Trace and identify the party that is to be pursued for recovery.

  • Investigate and evaluate legal liability to determine a case strategy for recovery opportunities.

  • Collaborate with claims adjusters, vendors, and customers to gather additional information crucial for the case.

  • Interact with customers, witnesses, legal experts, and underwriters to ensure all necessary details are obtained and provided.

  • Manage and direct vendor/supplier interaction on claim file.Value and resolve cases within authority.

  • Bring file to resolution by participating/leading file negotiations, arbitrations and or litigation.

  • Adhere to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the claim.

  • Recognise and escalate any matter where subrogation operates against another policyholder.

  • Interact effectively with stakeholders in order to effectively complete investigations and collect assets due to the company.

  • Interact with national/local regulatory bureaus as needed.

  • Review materials during the investigation and recovery effort and notify an appropriate parties of outstanding issues as needed.

  • Prepare reports outlining investigation findings, analyze cases and recommend appropriate course of action.

  • Propose and implement process improvements for collections, incorporating new concepts and approaches while maintaining a focus on goals.Monitor and control expenses incurred on claims and salvage cases.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Finance, Economics or relevant fields.

  • Experience in the banking/ financing sector.

  • Knowledge of litigation procedures/ laws and receivership/ liquidation work is a value-added criterion.

  • Fresh Graduate or 1 year of experience is preferable.
