Senior Executive, Finance Reporting

Purpose
With limited guidance, perform finance-related activities related to Financial Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Group Re, Planning, FinOps and Performance Management., Ensure that all tasks and procedures are completed to achieve key business objectives., Efficient stakeholder management internally and externally.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Performs close related ledger tasks, e. g. accruals, provisions, reconciliations and journals postings.
  • Prepares ledger reports and explain the results. Conducts accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
  • Performs basic technical research.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounting, finance-related activities, processes and procedures are followed and completed.
  • Enhances business decision making and supports development and execution of business strategy and other initiatives through robust data, accurate detailed financial analysis, insight and other relevant activities.
  • Contributes to the annual budget-plan and regular forecast process through close work with the business. Designs, generates and review moderately complex financial models.
  • Provides regular support as a subject matter expert to projects and internal initiatives by providing know-how and expertise in required areas.
  • Monitors, optimizes and implements new automated processes by utilizing one or a combination of suitable technologies.
  • Performs and updates ICFR controls in compliance with internal control guidelines.

 

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.

  • Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is preferred.

  • 2 plus years of working experience in accounting or finance within the financial services industry. Preferably candidate with background in insurance or takaful industry.
