Life Underwriter - Corporate Life & Pensions

We are looking for a Life Underwriter to join our Corporate Life & Pensions team.

We are seeking an experienced professional with a passion for excellence in risk assessment and underwriting, focusing on Corporate Life New Business and the renewal of highly complex contracts.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise, a high degree of autonomy in decision-making, and a genuine interest in building strong relationships with Partners and Brokers while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

As a Life Underwriter, you will:

• Analyze, assess, and underwrite risks within the Corporate Life insurance segment, making decisions in line with Zurich's underwriting strategy and guidelines.
• Manage new business opportunities and complex contract renewals.
• Support and collaborate with Partners and Brokers, delivering excellent service and developing tailored, competitive solutions for clients.
• Provide underwriting recommendations and decisions with a high level of autonomy.
• Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, and risk appetite.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and customer service standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by demonstrating integrity, a positive attitude, and a proactive mindset.
• Coach and support other team members, sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of team capabilities.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the insurance industry and in a similar role (typically 3+ years of experience).
• Strong technical knowledge of Life Insurance underwriting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
