Your main objectives and responsibilities are: 

 

As the Head of Business Change at Zurich Eurolife S.A. in Luxembourg, you will lead projects and change management that support our group life and disability business across selected EEA markets. Your primary role will encompass overseeing the execution of these projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with the CEO, the COO, the Head of Market Management, the Head of Sales, and the CFO, ensuring delivery and seamless coordination among various stakeholders in accordance with Zurich Group’s governance standards.You will also be responsible for maintaining and overseeing strategic relationships with key third-party providers, ensuring they deliver agreed-upon services. Additionally, you will manage the Project Management team, ensuring alignment with the company’s business development needs.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Successfully deliver key projects within agreed timelines and quality standards, engaging a wide range of stakeholders
  • Lead the Project Management team
  • Implement effective change management practices throughout the project lifecycle to enhance execution and delivery
  • Drive business projects efficiently in collaboration with the CEO, COO, the Head of Sales, and the Head of Market Management
  • Partner across the organization to identify, develop, and implement change management strategies, acting as a leader, influencer, and change agent
  • Take a proactive, holistic approach to business practices and processes, providing methodologies, tools, and measurements to support initiatives
  • Identify opportunities and risks associated with changes in internal and external environments by implementing agreed operational goals
  • Direct and conduct governance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, compliance with management directives, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency
  • Support the application of appropriate systems and control policies and procedures within Operations, sharing best practices where applicable
  • Perform and support the oversight of key governance frameworks (including Outsourcing, Data Management, Risk Management, and Governance Status Reports)
  • Proactively support change activities related to Governance Framework development
  • Identify and escalate opportunities for improving business performance, with a focus on service delivery, governance, controls, and cost efficiency
  • Deliver routine team requirements, including Management Information, quarterly reporting, risk updates, and associated action plans
  • Support other functions or departments as needed, based on the company’s business requirements

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • University degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, IT Management, or Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the insurance industry in an Operational or IT role, including 5 years in a management position with a proven track record of success
  • Strong understanding of business functions
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in German and French is an asset.
  • Proven experience in managing large projects
  • Excellent presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and a problem-solving attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
