Senior Accountant (m/f/d)
Your role
You act as the Senior Accountant and report to the Accounting and Reporting Supervisor. You have to collaborate with various departments. The position will be based in Luxembourg. As Accountant your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting in line with local and group requirements.
- Prepare financial and regulatory reporting files, analyses trends, and ensure correct system reporting.
- Maintain and further develop accounting policies, manuals, and local frameworks, ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance.
- Analyses financial data, identify issues or inefficiencies, and contribute to improving controls and processes.
- Act as a technical point of reference within Finance for accounting and reporting topics.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Contribute to internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
- Provide ad‑hoc accounting and finance support to operational and business teams.
Your skills and experience
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in accounting and/or finance, ideally in a regulated environment.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles; IFRS 17 knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Experience in the insurance sector (Life & Risk) is an asset.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
- Analytical, structured, and detail‑oriented approach.
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership.
- Strong communication skills and professional judgment.
