Senior Proposition Manager (m/f/d)

As part of a small, agile team you will collaborate across multiple markets to develop tailored life protection solutions for our customers. Together, we are shaping the future to secure brighter outcomes for those we serve, wherever they are in the world.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for Proposition Development and Management of our new retail European cross-border business, with an initial focus on developing new products, and in future to ensure the ongoing optimisation of open products.
  • Drive new product development in a range of European markets and with different distribution partners, to ensure profitable, customer-centric propositions are delivered.
  • Manage new developments end to end, from understanding customer and distributor needs, ideation, design, testing and implementation, working closely with other functions including distribution, underwriting, claims and operations teams.
  • Responsibility for market intelligence and ongoing competitor benchmarking.
  • Ensure products are fully compliant with relevant regulations in home and host countries, as well Zurich Group policies and procedures, including suitability.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, including distribution partners, IT/operations, Finance, underwriting and claims, and other Zurich Group teams.

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience with the range of retail protection products, ideally with exposure to different distribution approaches and markets.
  • Experience with digital solutions and their development a plus.
  • Experience working in an international environment, ideally across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • 10 years+ experience in Life insurance product-related roles.
  • Working language is English – additional European languages a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders, both internal and external, including distribution partners, IT / operations, Finance, underwriting and claims, and other Zurich Group teams.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and effective measurement abilities.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
