Head of Investments

Our opportunity

As Head of Investment, you will lead a dedicated team within the Investment Management division. You will be responsible for overseeing investment portfolios, with a particular focus on Asset-Liability Management (ALM) and Solvency. Based in Milan, this position plays a central role within the Italian Investment Team and requires close collaboration with the Finance, Risk Management, and Life departments in Italy, as well as with colleagues at Group level, to ensure full alignment and effective implementation of strategic investment objectives.

Scope and Purpose of the Position

This position is responsible for leading the management of investment portfolios, with particular emphasis on Asset-Liability Management (ALM), Solvency, and strategic asset allocation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with the Group’s investment objectives.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

• Experience in managing Segregated Funds (“gestioni separate”) and unit-linked portfolios, with a thorough understanding of their specific investment frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Deep expertise in both public (quoted) markets—including equities, fixed income, and derivatives—and private markets such as private equity, private debt, and alternative investments.
• Knowledge of the principal Asset-Liability Management (ALM) analyses and market risk assessments under Solvency II.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the capacity to coordinate effectively with Finance, Risk Management, Life, and Group functions.
• High level of integrity, commitment to results, and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement within the investment function. 

Required

• MSc in Economics, Finance or equivalent.
• Extensive knowledge and mastery of the Bloomberg platform, with advanced capabilities in leveraging its functionalities for market analysis, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical capabilities, with a track record of performing advanced.
• Problem solving attitude.
• Preferred: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent.
• Mother language Italian and excellent knowledge of English.
• 7–10 years of experience in other leading life insurance companies.
