Senior Consultant - Property
Job Summary
Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Senior Risk Services Consultant for Large Property who can create, monitor and maintain local, regional and/or global technical standards and quality for their applicable Line of Business or Industry Sector. Responsible for ensuring standards are applied consistently across Risk Engineering. Usually sits on global technical centers or industry sector groups and are the technical “go to” point for the regional network.

What you will do:
Represents the region in the respective global technical center team and contributes to the development of global technical standards and training offerings in own area of expertise.
Drives the regional deployment of technical training initiatives.
Participates in line of business or industry specific technical reviews.
Provides technical support to risk engineers, involved in the delivery of risk assessment and risk improvement services to customers and business partners.
Act as a key technical authority in their area of risk.
Responsible for Line of Business specific technical updates and maintenance of organizational knowledge.
Involvement in technical Risk Engineering committees, e.g. Centres of Expertise.
Provide effective advice on risk management issues to external customers and internal business partners.
Participate in loss investigations.
Participate in competency management activities, including the monitoring of mentoring activities and competency sign-off, where appropriate.
Job Qualifications
What you bring to the table:
Required:
Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
OR
Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area
AND
Knowledge of exposures, controls and best practice risk improvement
Preferred:
People management experience
