Executive Underwriter - Zurich E&S Financial Lines
Zurich is currently looking to hire an experienced Executive Underwriter to join our Wholesale Financial Lines team! This position is dedicated to the wholesale broker channel and presents a great opportunity to join our Public D&O team! We are open to candidates in New York City or Chicago.
In this role, you will underwrite and perform financial analysis across public D&O risks. The position will have technical, transactional and market facing responsibilities; and it will also make contributions in the areas of product/proposition development, marketing, fulfillment, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities include:
- Generating, underwriting and analyzing financial institution new and renewal policies.
- Market facing and production with wholesale brokers.
- Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules.
- Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
- Managing a portfolio of accounts and developing a pipeline of business.
- Collaborating and cross selling with other stakeholders and lines of business within Zurich.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area.
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting o r Market Facing area
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Unde rwriting Support area
AND - Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Experience working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office experience
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Salary range for this position is $98,300 - $161,000, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
