GL Multinational Liability Claims Specialist
Zurich is currently looking for an experienced claims adjuster to join our General Liability Multinational Claims team within the Complex claims organization. This position requires management of claims with complexity involving local and master insurance policies in a Multinational insurance program including mid to high exposure general liability, product liability, some auto liability, including litigation involving bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and advertising injury. The Claims Specialist is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage under the insurance policies. The Claims Specialist is responsible for proactively managing claims and litigation effectively in accordance with our best practices while delivering outstanding customer service. The position requires regular and detailed communication with customers, brokers, our Business Units, our global colleagues, and our senior claims management.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing and resolving severity injury claims and litigation in multiple jurisdictions, proven skills in time management and caseload management, and must be able to document claim files by accurately and timely capturing and updating claims data/information in compliance with best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and 6 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation including some experience with high severity claims, including experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage
OR - Juris Doctor and 2 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation including some experience with high severity claims including experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage
OR - Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree with 6 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation including some experience with high severity claims including experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage
OR - Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims and/or Litigation Management area.
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience managing complex general liability, product liability, and some auto liability claims and litigation including some experience with high severity claims including experience investigating, evaluating, and determining coverage
AND - Must obtain and retain required adjuster licenses
- Microsoft Office experience
- Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets, and products
Preferred Qualifications:
- JD, SCLA, AIC, or CPCU
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment and across work groups
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise resolving severe bodily injury and property damage claims and litigation in multiple jurisdictions
- Experience with Multinational insurance programs including local/master and DIC/DIL interplay
- Experience with non-admitted insurance claims including regulatory and compliance awareness
- Strong skills in coverage, claim evaluation, and negotiation
- Proven organization and time management
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The proposed Salary range for this position is $75,800.00 - $124,100.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
