What's the job?

As our Head of Assurance within the central Compliance function at Zurich Cover-More, you’ll lead the design and delivery of our assurance strategy and plan, the design and implementation of the compliance control framework, ensuring robust oversight of compliance controls and governance across our travel insurance and assistance operations globally. This role is central to maintaining trust, transparency, and accountability across the business.

• You will lead the development and execution of the assurance plan, including control testing, thematic reviews, and deep-dive assessments.
• You will oversee and perform quality assurance on regional/local Compliance assurance activities.
• You will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of Zurich Group’s Internal Control & Integrated Framework (ICIF), related to the Zurich Cover-More Compliance frameworks.
• You will assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and provide actionable insights to strengthen risk management.
• You will collaborate with business units to embed a strong control culture and promote ownership of compliance responsibilities, based on aligned control frameworks.
• You will prepare and present assurance findings to senior leadership, governance committees, and Zurich Group stakeholders.
• You will monitor regulatory developments and industry trends, ensuring our assurance activities remain relevant and forward-looking.
• You will partner with Legal, Risk, Audit, and other assurance functions to deliver a coordinated and integrated approach to oversight.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a strategic, detail-oriented assurance leader with a passion for governance and operational excellence.

• You will bring 10+ years of experience in assurance, internal audit, compliance, or risk management within insurance or financial services.
• You will have deep knowledge of internal control frameworks
• You will hold a degree in business, finance, law, or a related field; professional certifications are highly desirable.
• You will demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• You will be an excellent communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• You will have experience leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment.
• You will bring a collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of integrity.

The salary range for this role is $145,000 – $185,100. This is the range Zurich Cover-More in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
