This is an exciting role, with the Team Leader Casualty reporting to the Head of GI Complex Claims (Crew Lead).
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for Liability and Financial Lines Claims, within the GI Complex Claims Crew. The Casualty Claims Teams are responsible for designing and delivering great claims experiences to customers and partners whilst maintaining strong financial and portfolio outcomes.
- Responsible for delivery of financial and operational metrics with the portfolio including meeting Duration Severity, ALAE, Fraud and Recovery outcomes.
- Supporting a team of 16 throughout their performance, preparing reports, and analyses data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Will provides technical support and strategy to the team on complex and large claims.
- Accountable for developing talent, coaching and mentoring their teams who will have various degrees of experience and skills.
- Accountable for building a strong, people led high performance culture within Complex Crew and Enterprise Claims.
- Will ensures the Casualty Teams are compliant and adheres to all internal compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Will deliver of our Quality Assurance program within team including support on audits and line manager reviews and providing meaningful feedback to the team.
- Will work closely with Underwriters, Risk Managers and Actuaries and other internal stakeholders to monitor financial performance and product profitability and sustainability.
- Will manages and engages with our preferred Supply Partners- Assessing, Legal, Forensic Accounting, Investigators to ensure service adherence and focus on cost benefits,

In order to be successful, you will require the following:
- Tertiary qualifications or substantial relevant experience including knowledge of Liability and Financial Lines Products.
- Experience in large loss management and operation and claims portfolio management.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the GI industry and related products including relevant legal and regulatory framework.
- Strong leadership capability including strategic thinking, conflict management, analytical, problem solving, outstanding communication & presentation skills.
- People management experience is required.
- Having an understanding of and/or experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration & dependencies.
