A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our Actuarial business as an Experience Investigation Actuary.

In this diverse role, you will play a key role in shaping our understanding of claims experience and customer behaviour in life insurance. You will leverage advanced analytics - including GLM and machine learning - to uncover insights that inform strategy and drive impactful decisions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of meaningful projects from start to finish. You will take the lead in the experience investigation process - conducting in-depth analysis and driving the review – culminating in the presentation of financial implications to senior stakeholders. At Zurich, you’ll be supported by a collaborative team and empowered to learn, innovate, and explore new ways of working with AI.

Important to your success - Unlock your potential

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Strong understanding of experience investigation and assumption setting within life insurance
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python, enabling you to work with advanced analytics
• Knowledge of statistical modelling techniques (e.g., GLM) and machine learning to uncover insights
• Solid experience with database technologies like SQL and Snowflake
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with the Australian insurance and financial services market, including its structure, products, distribution, regulation, and governance
• The ability to turn complex data into actionable insights that influence business decisions
