As a Mendix Lead Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of our digital innovation. You’ll take ownership of designing and delivering Mendix solutions that have a real impact on our business and customers. Working in an agile, collaborative environment, you’ll guide a skilled team, drive technical excellence, and ensure we leverage the full potential of the Mendix platform. You will also be responsible for the following:

• Develop and deploy robust applications using the Mendix platform, ensuring they align with the designed solutions.
• Architect scalable and secure solutions that align with business goals.
• Gather and analyse requirements from stakeholders, ensuring that the solutions meet business objectives.
• Lead a cross-functional team in designing, developing, and delivering Mendix applications.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications, addressing any issues, and implementing enhancements as needed.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure the quality and functionality of the applications, addressing any bugs or issues promptly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications, including user guides, technical specifications, and release notes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product owners, chapter leads, architects, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Mendix, low-code development, and full-stack development to continuously improve our development processes.

Important to your success – let’s grow together

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• 10+ years technology experience.
• Strong experience with the Mendix platform and a solid understanding of low-code development principles. Proficiency in ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other front-end technologies is plus.
• Strong software engineering skills, including knowledge of design patterns, algorithms, and best practices for writing clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to think critically and solve complex problems efficiently, delivering innovative solutions that meet business needs.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of our customers, ensuring that our solutions provide real value.
• A passion for continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Experience integrating Mendix with APIs and third-party services.
• Expert certified Mendix developer certification and knowledge of the insurance or financial sector are a plus.
