As a Machine Learning Engineer (Agentic AI), you’ll play a key role in building and running LLM-powered applications and intelligent agents that improve how our customers and colleagues interact with Zurich. You’ll sit within our AI Platforms team, partnering closely with senior engineers, Tech Leads and product teams to turn emerging AI capability into practical, secure, and reliable solutions.

This role exists to help us responsibly scale agentic AI across the organisation. You’ll contribute to systems that are designed for real-world use, with a strong focus on operational readiness, quality engineering, and continuous improvement as we progress our technology transformation.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Build and maintain core components for agentic AI solutions, including orchestration flows, prompts, routing patterns, and structured outputs
• Contribute to the delivery and productionisation of LLM and agent features in partnership with senior engineers and architects
• Integrate AI solutions with internal services and data sources using APIs and basic resiliency patterns
• Support LLMOps and MLOps automation across CI/CD, environments, and release practices
• Implement practical guardrails such as grounding, validation, and permission-aware access
• Embed quality engineering practices including testing, documentation, and secure coding

You’re curious, pragmatic, and motivated by impact. You enjoy working collaboratively, balancing experimentation with responsibility, and you’re comfortable engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to turn ideas into outcomes.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Proven experience in AWS Cloud Engineering, designing and operating secure, scalable cloud-based services
• Hands-on experience delivering ML or AI-enabled features into production environments
• Strong engineering fundamentals using Python, APIs, and data-focused technologies
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines in an enterprise setting
• Exposure to LLM-based applications, including prompting and structured outputs
• Experience working with containerisation and deployment automation
