An exciting opportunity is available for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join Zurich’s General Insurance team, reporting to the Head of Technical Underwriting & Governance.

In this role, you’ll support underwriting excellence by delivering independent, insight‑led assurance across underwriting portfolios, using Zurich’s Technical Underwriting Assurance Framework. You’ll conduct structured reviews, contribute to thematic analysis and reporting, and help identify quality gaps—turning findings into practical insights that strengthen underwriting standards, controls and ways of working within the CUO function. Beyond day‑to‑day assurance activity, you’ll be encouraged to grow your capability by contributing to the ongoing development of the Quality Assurance model. This includes using data, analytics, reporting tools and emerging technologies to enhance portfolio oversight and deliver more forward‑looking, data‑driven insights.

Important to your success - Unlock your potential

• Experience in General Insurance underwriting, governance, quality assurance, risk or first‑line controls, with exposure to SME and/or Commercial portfolios.
• Exposure to supporting or delivering reviews, assurance activities or analytical assessments, with the ability to summarise findings clearly.
• A background in working across multiple teams, including underwriting, risk, governance, audit or compliance.
• Sound understanding of underwriting risk, quality principles and control frameworks in a GI environment.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify themes, issues and improvement opportunities.
• Practical experience using data, reporting, analytics or digital tools to support assurance or decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to engage effectively with underwriting leaders and technical stakeholders.

• A strong interest and capability to help advance quality assurance approaches through digital enablement, analytics or automation
