A great opportunity exists to join the Dispute Resolution team as a Senior IDR Claims Case Manager on a 12 month contract.
n this dynamic role, you will partner with the IDR Manager to handle complex, escalated disputes involving General Insurance & Life Insurance claims and high-level complaints directed to the CEO, Board, or Executive team. You will take ownership of the most challenging IDR cases, ensuring responses are impartial and well-reasoned, while consulting with senior stakeholders and preparing high-quality written communications.
Additionally, you will contribute to reporting and commentary, conduct case studies, review processes, and analyse IDR data to identify root causes, strengthen regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency.
You will also play a key role in capability uplift by delivering training, mentoring team members, conducting quality assurance reviews, and providing constructive feedback and coaching to support continuous improvement.

- Advanced expertise in insurance claims management
- Strong background in customer service and complaint resolution, with the ability to resolve complex issues and rebuild customer trust
- Solid understanding of the Insurance Contracts Act (ICA), ASIC Internal Dispute Resolution requirements (RG271), and relevant industry codes
- Analytical skills to interpret data, identify root causes, and deliver actionable insights
- Proven ability to produce clear, high-quality written communications
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including confidence in leading discussions with senior management.
