As a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter, you'll play a key role in helping Zurich grow a profitable and sustainable Motor Fleet portfolio. Working within our Commercial General Insurance business, you'll manage a diverse range of new and renewal business, spanning light fleets through to complex heavy fleet, plant and equipment risks. You'll bring strong underwriting expertise, commercial judgement and market insight to deliver outcomes for customers, brokers and Zurich.

This is a highly visible, market facing role where you'll build strong broker relationships, identify growth opportunities and help shape underwriting decisions across a specialised portfolio. You'll also act as a senior member of the team, providing guidance, support and mentoring to developing underwriters while contributing to Zurich's ongoing growth in the Motor Fleet market.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Underwrite new and renewal Motor Fleet business in line with Zurich's underwriting framework and delegated authority.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to support retention, acquisition and long term portfolio growth.
• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities while supporting profitable renewal outcomes.
• Assess risks against appetite and underwriting guidelines, balancing technical analysis with commercial opportunities.
• Partner with customers, brokers and internal stakeholders to deliver tailored insurance solutions and support broader business objectives.
• Support and mentor developing underwriters, sharing technical expertise and helping build underwriting capability across the team.

You're an experienced Motor, Fleet or Heavy Motor Underwriter who combines strong technical capability with commercial acumen. You're confident in the market, enjoy building broker relationships, and are ready to use your expertise to influence outcomes, support colleagues and help grow a successful portfolio.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Experience underwriting Motor Fleet, Commercial Motor, Heavy Motor, Transport, Plant and Equipment or related commercial insurance risks.
• Strong understanding of underwriting frameworks, risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with brokers and external partners.
• Demonstrated commercial judgement with the ability to balance risk and growth opportunities.
• Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting less experienced underwriters or colleagues.
