A great opportunity exists to join Zurich’s Finance team as a Senior Reinsurance Claims Recoveries Analyst.

 

This is a role where you will get the chance to drive process improvement, innovation whilst also supporting the Team Leader and mentoring others.

 

You will be part of a team that analyses and performs intermediate to complex reinsurance transactions and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions of the reinsurance agreements and department standards.

 

Your main responsibilities will include:

 

  • Report and settle claims reinsurance and reconcile complex detail reinsurance related activity.
  • Prepare and analyse internal and external reports.
  • Provide training and oversight review for account and processing responsibilities.
  • Pursue open recoverable in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage relationships and communication with internal Zurich business partners and reinsurers
  • Provide ongoing workflow status, risk assessment, and issue insight to Group Reinsurance management and internal and external stakeholders.

 

Important to your success - Unlock your potential

 

  • Understanding of the life insurance market and reinsurance processes, including the dependencies between the various departments.
  • Knowledge in utilising insurance claims administration systems.
  • Knowledge of tools and techniques sufficient to deliver upon the reinsurance administration activities.
  • A solution focused mindset and strong initiative
  • Understanding of and ability to work in an agile environment, with a strong focus on risk and controls
  • Extensive programming experience with SQL, R or Python is preferable
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues to internal and external stakeholder.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial/Finance related field.
