As a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter on our NSW/ACT team, you’ll play a key role in helping Zurich grow a profitable and sustainable Motor Fleet portfolio. Sitting within our General Insurance business, this role balances technical underwriting expertise with strong broker and market engagement to deliver outcomes that matter for our customers and partners.

You’ll be trusted to underwrite new and renewal business with confidence, apply sound judgement within delegated authority, and contribute to smarter, more consistent underwriting decisions. Just as importantly, you’ll help strengthen relationships, uncover growth opportunities, and support our ambition to lead through digital capability and customer experience.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Underwriting new and renewal Motor Fleet business in line with Zurich’s underwriting framework and delegated authority
• Building and maintaining strong broker relationships to support retention and profitable growth
• Identifying and pursuing new business and renewal opportunities across the Motor Fleet portfolio
• Assessing risks to ensure alignment with appetite while balancing commercial opportunity
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to support broader business and product objectives
• Supporting cross-sell opportunities to deepen customer relationships

You’re someone who combines strong commercial judgement with a collaborative, customer-focused mindset. You’re confident engaging with brokers and stakeholders, comfortable making decisions, and motivated by delivering outcomes that are sustainable, fair, and aligned to Zurich’s values.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• Proven experience underwriting Motor or Commercial insurance risks
• Strong knowledge of underwriting frameworks, guidelines, and risk assessment
• Experience working closely with brokers and external partners
• Ability to balance technical analysis with commercial decision-making
• Relevant insurance qualifications or commitment to ongoing professional development
• Experience operating with delegated underwriting authority
