As the Team Leader of our Authorised Representative (AR) team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we connect with AR broker groups across Australia and New Zealand. This role exists to help drive stronger relationships, better experiences, and sustainable growth across our Middle Market and SME teams. You’ll influence how we show up in the market, helping to build a consistent and trusted presence that supports our ambition to be the leading digital insurer.

 

You’ll guide and develop a high-performing underwriting and service team, helping them deliver exceptional outcomes for brokers and customers. Your leadership will support Zurich’s broader strategy by ensuring our AR partners feel understood, valued, and confident that we’re committed to their success.

 

You will also be responsible for the following:

 

  • Lead AR engagement strategies that strengthen market relationships and support Zurich’s growth ambitions.
  • Support the development and capability uplift of Middle Market AR Underwriters and the business development team.
  • Enhance service delivery by evolving our 50/50 service model using data, insights, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the business to ensure market alignment and consistent execution of underwriting and digital strategies.
  • Monitor and support the performance of Strategic Carrier Agreements to ensure high-quality outcomes for AR partners.
  • Act as a key escalation point for all AR-related matters to ensure timely and effective resolution.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

 

  • Extensive experience engaging and influencing brokers in a complex market environment
  • Proven leadership experience building high-performing and engaged teams
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, governance, and the general insurance landscape
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver outcomes aligned to business goals
  • A customer-first approach with a track record of strengthening relationships and lifting service standards
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret market insights and leverage data to drive decisions
