Commercial Auto Claims Manager

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will lead and direct a team of technical Claims Professionals in low to high-exposure claims in commercial property/casualty lines of business. Coordinates the work activities of the team, and has responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive employee development and operational improvements.

 Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Juris Doctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims area 
    OR 
  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims area 
    OR 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims
    AND 
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience collaborating across work groups
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims, and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
  • Travel 0-20%

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Expertise in the Commercial Auto line of business
  • Experience with leading leaders
  • Proven experience in analyzing coverage, liability, and damages for commercial casualty claim
  • Experience in oversight in handling and managing bodily injury claims
  • Experience with change management tools/methodologies
  • People management experience
  • Ability to inspire and influence
  • Knowledge and skill in claims handling
  • Negotiation experience
  • Experience in line of business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical skills

 

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. 

The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is 98,300.00 - 161,000.00 , with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
