ZRS is currently looking for a Director, Enterprise Data to Identify and validate data scenarios, and recognize opportunities with actionable plans in order to support the improvement of the organization’s decision-making capabilities through high quality and transparent data.


Reporting to the Head of ZRS, Canada, you will participate in key Enterprise Data Initiative team projects, supporting underlying data capture and utilization opportunities.

What you will do - 


• Participate in key Enterprise Data Initiative team projects, supporting underlying data capture and utilization opportunities.
• Identify data most valuable to the organization, and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model.
• Establish working relationships with key technical leads throughout the organization, and ensure ongoing alignment with their activities and the overall organization’s strategic direction.
• Assist in the evolution of the physical data designs for new and ongoing projects, ensuring consistency and standardization across multiple projects.
• Research data anomalies and develop recommendations to solve unique organizational and enterprise data problems.
• Aggregate, consolidate and develop technical documentation surrounding the organization’s Information Architecture.
• Monitor and control resources assigned to enterprise/data project work, maintaining financial and progress forecasting in order to ensure projects are delivered according to schedule and within budget.
• Evaluate and develop the business case for proposed data change and improvement programs, and recommend priorities for change programs to senior management.
• Analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources in order to identify lessons learnt from significant data improvement and change initiatives to improve the organization’s usage of data.
• Act as the subject matter expert in business change, and provide technical guidance and recommendations relating to data and data architecture in order to support decision-making capabilities.
• Analyze data and undertake complex modeling using established methodologies to quantify risks and support business decision-making.
• Adapt and integrate innovative methodologies and update models to align them to local market conditions.
• Research and investigate competitor activity, innovative practices and potential regulatory change to identify risks and opportunities for the organization.
• Operational tasks as requested pertaining to overall performance of ZRS Canada
 

Job Qualifications

 

What you bring to the table: 

 

Required:

 

• Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Management area.

 

OR

 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Data Management area.

 

AND

 

• Experienced in data interrogation, data profiling or data modeling.

 

Preferred:

 

• Ability to work independently and interact effectively as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in team environment
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Advanced SQL, SAS, Erwin, Data Quality Tools, ETL skills
• Insurance industry experience
