Join Zurich North America's dynamic team as a Team Manager specializing in Commercial General Liability. This role offers the opportunity to lead a team of skilled Claims Professionals in managing low to moderate exposure claims in commercial property/casualty lines of business. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct a team of technical Claims Professionals handling low to moderate complexity and exposure commercial claims in property/casualty lines of business.
  • Provide direction, technical guidance, and track key metrics to drive superior claims results.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal colleagues, external customers, and brokers to achieve customer satisfaction targets.
  • Review claims files, identify trends, and recommend best practices for operational improvements.
  • Manage corporate expenses by monitoring file allocations and resources to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
  • Provide claims insights to assist business units in product development and customer/broker stewardship.
  • Attract, onboard, recruit, and retain high-performing team members.
  • Drive the performance management process by setting expectations, providing feedback, and facilitating employee development.
  • Foster transparent communication and uphold Zurich's mission, vision, and values.
  • Maintain confidentiality of claims information to protect Zurich's reputation.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and developments through continuous learning and professional networking.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor with 5+ years of Claims experience, Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience, or High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8+ years of experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience collaborating across work groups.
  • Knowledge of insurance legal statutes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry, claims, and regulatory environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Commercial General Liability, Bodily Injury, and Property Damage.
  • Experience in Employment Practices Liability.
  • Knowledge of auto dealers coverage and auto physical damage claims.
  • Experience managing bodily injury and auto physical damage claims.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • People management experience.

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable range of compensation for roles. For additional information about our Total Rewards, click here. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill, and education. The salary provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. The starting salary range for this position is $103,400.00 - $169,400.00.
