Junior Actuarial Trainee

As a Junior Actuarial Trainee, you will have the opportunity to:

Actuarial & Reporting Support

 

  • Support quarterly commercial insurance reporting for assigned business units.
  • Assist in running standard actuarial processes, including data preparation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Support the calculation of technical reserves and prepare results and documentation for internal review.

 

Analysis & Modelling

 

  • Perform basic statistical analyses and support actuarial modelling activities, such as development pattern projections, segmentation reviews or baseline assumption updates, under supervision.
  • Compile, clean, and categorize data; verify assumptions, parameters, and inputs used in computations.
  • Monitor and analyze model outputs and support interpretation of results for senior team members.

 

Process & Systems

 

  • Participate in the review, testing, and improvement of actuarial processes, tools, and systems.
  • Identify data quality or process issues and escalate findings appropriately.

 

The ideal candidate should meet the following attributes:

  • University student or recent graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Basic understanding of insurance or actuarial concepts
  • Comfortable using English in both written and spoken form

 

Additional Information

  • Internship duration: at least 1 year part-time/internship program with the possibility of prolongation
  • Location(s): Bratislava office
  • Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per week, possibility to align working hours with university schedule
  • Wage: 8 EUR/hour
