Salesforce Release Manager (DevOps) (Part-Time, Job-Share, Full-Time)

113177

Location: Fareham/Swindon with hybrid working

The opportunity:

The UK DevOps team is part of the UK Operations and IT function which drives technology delivery and change across the UK business.  The DevOps team currently consists of a Mendix Low-code and a Salesforce development and operations capability; a MuleSoft API team and SmartComms digital content team is also being established.  The DevOps team has fully embraced new ways of working including Agile, DevOps practices, API-led development, cloud-first, and CI/CD.

You will work as part of the DevOps Salesforce team responsible for the operational and small change software development demands of Zurich’s Salesforce platform across the UK business.  You will report to the Salesforce Platform Lead.

Zurich Insurance UK is expanding its DevOps team to meet the increasing demand for digital transformation, API-led application development, Agile delivery, DevOps practices and innovation.  The DevOps team is helping the business transform by improving efficiency and by putting the customer at the heart of everything we do via our digital transformation work.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the DevOps Salesforce team as the Salesforce Release Manager.  You will work in an Agile way alongside the Salesforce Operational Manager, Salesforce Solution Leads, Solution Architect, MuleSoft team, SmartComm team, and the wider Salesforce team to ensure the effective management and operation of the Salesforce estate comprising of five Salesforce Orgs, all while learning and growing your skill set.

If you want to grow, enhance and mature an expanding team to provide operational support to the Zurich Salesforce enterprise platform, to contribute objective insight and technical expertise to the applications, systems and processes that are transforming Zurich through its online digital services, and mature Salesforce DevOps and Agile practices to deliver increasingly business-focused consultation and support, you could be part of an award-winning and rapidly growing DevOps team.

You will be a seasoned Salesforce Professional with experience in people and stakeholder management. You will be responsible for coordinating release timelines and dependencies with the development, testing and deployment teams. Due to the highly regulated industry we have to adhere to ICIF and Blue Book regulatory requirements, you will be responsible for internal process to make sure we adhere to policies given. This role will also require implementing environment strategy, including best practices for maintaining data integrity and security across. Even though the role entitles only one direct report, you will be collaborating with developers, administrators and other managers to evaluate and prioritize the change requests. Communication with the internal stakeholders is key to the team success and great business delivery. As part of the agenda, we want to ensure quality in all we do. Your responsibility will also include delivering robust testing strategy, with the impact on automaton and incorporation within CICD pipeline.

This opportunity is no ordinary Salesforce Release Manager role – Zurich has positioned Salesforce as a strategic technology with five Salesforce Orgs covering Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Industries (Vlocity) and Nonprofit, currently embedding Gearset and Bitbucket as part of our CICD pipeline.

Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at the interview about the flexibility you may need.
