The opportunity: HEAD of TREASURY LATAM

Your skills and experience:

The Head of Treasury Latam leads all treasury activities for Zurich’s Latin American business units including Zurich-Santander, ensuring sound cash management, liquidity optimization, and financial risk management.

This role supports business growth and operational excellence across the region by maintaining strong financial controls, fostering collaboration, and providing strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Regional Leadership: Oversee all treasury functions for Latam, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and funding strategies.
• Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement treasury policies aligned with Zurich Group standards, supporting business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management: Monitor and manage financial risks (liquidity, currency), ensuring mitigation strategies are robust and effective.
• Business Partnering: Advise local CFOs and finance teams on treasury matters, supporting strategic initiatives and financial planning.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international treasury-related regulations and Zurich’s internal controls.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive automation, digitalization, and best practices in treasury operations, leveraging new tools and processes.
• Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire the Latam treasury team over the countries, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
• Impairment test , business case assessment, balance sheet review, Solvency test and assessement.

Key Requirements

• Experience in corporate treasury, finance, or banking, preferably within multinational organizations. Prior leadership experience is desireble.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field (Master’s or professional qualifications desirable).
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of treasury instruments, cash management, financial risk, and Latin American regulatory environments.
• Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills. High integrity and results-orientation.

• Languages: English proficiency is mandatory. Portuguese & Spanish is desirable.
