AVP, Customer Risk Insights Consultant
Zurich is seeking an AVP, Customer Risk Insights Consultant to join our Customer Risk Insights team in Schaumburg IL. This is the highest-level senior consultant leading projects and insights work focused on the customer, who are often cross-functional and highly visible.
The Customer Risk Insights Consultant is a key role responsible for providing data-driven insights and consultative services to U.S. National Accounts clients. This position focuses on analyzing client loss data, identifying key risk drivers, facilitating tailored risk management strategies working with account team, and communicating complex information effectively to clients and internal stakeholders. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor, helping clients optimize their risk management programs and minimize their total cost of risk.
Responsibilities include:
- Data Analysis & Interpretation:
- Analyze a variety of data (both internal and external/ industry) to identify trends, patterns, and key risk drivers to bring forward valuable and actionable insights that span many customer benefit areas such as identification of emerging risks, loss prevention, loss control, and peer benchmarking with the goal of improving customer risk profiles.
- Consultative Services:
- Conduct/ participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate risk insights and recommendations by working closely with business stakeholders e.g., global relationship leaders, underwriters, risk engineers and claims service executives.
- Participate in implementing tailored risk management strategies, including loss prevention programs, claims management best practices, and alternative risk financing solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, claims, actuarial, data) to deliver comprehensive risk management solutions.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including risk managers, CFOs, and other senior executives.
- Engages with customer risk managers in a consulting capacity to determine problem areas that need unique or distinctive insights which can lead to specific actions / solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader on risk management issues.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Change Management or Insurance or Operations or Training area
OR - High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Change Management or Insurance or Operations or Training area
AND - Internal Consulting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree preferred
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis techniques.
- Experience in insurance (Underwriting or Claims), or a related field, with a focus on Commercial insurance- large casualty lines.
- Strong client relationship management skills and a consultative approach.
- Relevant professional designations (e.g., ARM, CRM, CPCU) are a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Additional rewards may encompass short-term incentive bonuses and merit increases. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The compensation indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary range for this position is $108,200.00 - $177,100.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
