AVP, eDiscovery Manager

Zurich is currently looking for an AVP, Manager to lead our eDiscovery team in Claims Legal to work out of our  Schaumburg IL office.

The manager will lead and direct a team of eDiscovery Specialists who are responsible for preserving and collecting  data, information, and documents in response to discovery requests for management of moderate to highly complex insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation arising from claims.  They will coordinate the work activities of the team with responsibility for performance, development, and coaching of staff to maximize contributions and drive employee development and operational improvements.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Juris Doctor and 7 or more years of experience in the Legal area
     AND
  • 7 or more years of combined attorney experience in the Insurance Coverage, Insurance Litigation, Extra-Contractual Litigation or Professional Errors and Omissions Litigation area.  To include 5 or more years of experience with eDiscovery tools such as Relativity
  • Active Member of a state Bar Association
  • Experience with MS Office, Lexis or Westlaw legal research tool
  • Experience collaborating with and working across multiple lines of business

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • People management experience
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent oral, written and facilitation skills to effectively present to claimants, customers and LOB
  • Experience building and leading effective teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
