Application Delivery Internship (Summer 2026)
About the Role:
Zurich North America is seeking an Application Delivery Intern for the Summer of 2026 to join our team in Schaumburg, IL. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT Application Development environment, working with cutting-edge technologies and agile methodologies.
As an intern, you will contribute to key projects focused on IPZ Transformation and MyBook, helping to automate submission intake and underwriting processes. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals and gain exposure to real-world IT challenges. The specific project assignment will be determined closer to your start date.
What You’ll Gain:
- Industry & Business Knowledge – Learn about insurance products and business operations.
- Technical Skills – Gain experience in Pega PRPC, Java/JavaScript, R, Python, and Low-Code/No-Code platforms like PEGA.
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – Work within an agile environment using SCRUM methodology.
- System Analysis & Collaboration – Engage with a highly skilled team of developers, testers, project managers, and business/system analysts.
- DevOps & CI/CD Practices – Understand modern Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
- IT Transformation Experience – Be part of a critical IT transformation initiative at Zurich.
- Professional Development – Enhance your leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a corporate setting.
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree and will be enrolled in the 2026 fall semester
- Completed at least two years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
- Strong technical programming skills (Java, Python, etc.)
- Problem-solving skills in customer focused environment
- Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to work independently
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed Hourly rate for this position is $24.00 - $27.50.
